JEEP DINO Super Bowl LII featured a Jeep commercial starring Jeff Goldblum, who played Dr. Ian Malcolm in the original Jurassic Park. The commercial allowed Dr. Malcolm to turn the tables and chase the T-Rex, because he had acquired a new 2018 Jeep Rubicon. At the end of the commercial, the standard Jeep logo appears with both of the letter E’s modified to look like dinosaur heads. The modified version of the Jeep logo was originally used by The Jurassic Park Motor Pool, prior to the commercial!
JP CLAW When the original Jurassic Park was released, the Jeeps used in the movie had rectangular headlights. Jeep only produced rectangular headlights for 8 years before going back to the round style that had been on all other Jeeps since WW2. Jeeps today still have round headlights, and when Colin Trevorrow tweeted the dino slash photo during Super Bowl LII, it appeared with round headlights. Correct for modern Jeeps, but not accurate for Jurassic Park Jeeps. Therefore, we redesigned the photo that Colin tweeted out and rebuilt it with rectangular headlights. The plate is black, with the slash and headlights stamped and having a fossilized granite look that is screen-printed. It is smooth to the touch with a textured appearance.
JP 25 25 years ago, one movie made history. Jurassic Park captured the imaginations of audiences around the world and transported them to a place where dinosaurs still roamed the earth.
We immensely appreciate the Jurassic Park fans for keeping the wonder of the Park alive and building countless replica Jeeps and Explorers.
